Rover Company now offers a full selection of freestanding pet gates, made from our durable PVC vinyl. These standalone pet gates are a great fit for any home because they are portable, stable, and best of all, they’re durable enough to last a lifetime.

Portable Standalone Pet Gates

Your free standing dog gate from Rover Company is entirely adjustable, allowing you to cover narrow and wide openings with the same gate and only takes a minute to adjust. The light weight material means you can move it back and forth without strenuous effort, and the attached stabilizing legs are easy to work around.

Other pet gates leave scuff marks on your door frames and floors as you move them back and forth. Rover Company standalone pet gates are made of lightweight PVC that doesn’t scratch, and they are light enough to be carried just about anywhere.

Stable Freestanding Dog Gates

Rover company offers two types of pet gates, you can choose between the free standing dog gates, or the doorway pet gates. The freestanding dog gates include foot stabilizers that keep them upright, while requiring minimum assembly and no drilling. You’ll find the rover gates are very stable, and dogs can’t climb up them. A variety of heights are available so no matter what breed you have, you can find an acceptable pet gate.

Durable Free Standing Dog Gates

Like most Rover Company products, the standalone dog gates are made of durable PVC vinyl. The white plastic is easily cleaned and resistant to rust, allowing you to use it for years and years. The light pet gates only weigh a few pounds, meaning you can easily carry them throughout the house, and you won’t need to worry about dropping them. Lastly, the PVC material is more resistant to damage than wooden gates, no tools needed to assemble.

What really sets Rover Pet Enclosures apart is that we use durable, high quality materials in all of our products. Our enclosures and dog beds are designed to last, often performing several times longer than other products. We take great pride in this, and so we wanted to share this note we’ve received from a long-time customer, Cherie H.

The family purchased their first rover pet enclosure in 1998 while traveling to a dog show in Arizona. Here’s what they have to say now;

Dear Rover Pet,

I’ve been involved with dogs for twenty-plus years and I bought my first rover pet enclosure about thirteen years ago. I have been so pleased with the quality and convenience of your vinyl pet enclosures that I’ve come back several times to purchase additional panels, and I recommend them to everyone I know.

Our rover enclosures have been used for whelping pens, growing out puppies, and as free standing gates the rest of the time. To this day, I still have all of the original panels and not one of them has broken. When one of my papillons learned that she could climb out of her wire exercise pen, I tried using a rover pen instead and, to my surprise, she hasn’t gotten out since.

I am so pleased with how well your pens have held up, and I will continue to use and recommend them for years to come.

Thank You RoverPet,

Cherie H.

We’ve seen Cherie several times while displaying at Dog Shows, and we love to hear that she is recommending us to others. If you have a story about a Rover Pet Product, we would love to hear it. Send a message to Rover@RoverPet.com and we may feature it here!

Rover Raised Dog Beds are easy to assemble, they require no tools, and can be completed in a matter of minutes.

Step 1: Attaching The Bed

When you receive your RoverPet.com raised dog bed, the flexible bed material should already be attached to the arms. If you’ve taken the bed off for cleaning, or it has been removed for some other reason, it’s easy to attach again. Just lay the bed material down on the ground or other flat surface and insert the arms through the pockets sewn into the long side of the bed material. Be sure that the correct side is facing upwards, and that the pre-cut holes to attach the cross-bars face inward when the bed is fully assembled.

Step 2: Connect the Crossbars

Attaching The Cross Supports to the Raised Dog Bed

Once the bed material is attached to the arms, you can slip the cross bars through the bed material, and then insert the ends in the holes that have been pre-cut in the main rails. The best approach is to start with the main rails rotated outwards, and rotate them inwards once the cross-support is in position.

Step 3: Connect the Feet

Attaching The Legs to Your Raised Dog Bed

After the cross bars have been connected, your next step is to attach the feet to the bottom of the dog bed. The feet include a smaller extension to fit inside the main rails, using a male-to-female attachment.

While your dog bed is still new, this male/female connection may be fairly tight. It’s normal to require slightly more effort to detach the legs from your dog bed. If you’re having trouble getting the legs attached, try attaching one side first and rotate the leg back and forth to loosen the joints slightly and apply a little vaseline on the inside of the arm before re-assembling.

Be careful that you don’t get your fingers pinched while connecting the feet!

Step 4: Attaching The Optional Pad

If you’ve purchased the additional sheepskin furry pad for your dog bed, attaching it is easy. Each of the Rover bed pads include pre-cut circular rings to clip the padding in place. Pull the rings open slightly and slip them around the corners where the frame is narrower. Follow the same instructions to detach the bed padding.

Cleaning Your Raised Dog Bed

The optional sheepskin furry pad is machine washable, so if your pet has an accident it’s easy to clean. Just unclip the pad from the bed, then remove the clips from the pad before you wash in warm water and hang dry.

If you don’t have time to wash the bed material in a machine washer, you can also Wash with Simple Green Anti-Bacterial, it’s environmentally friendly and provides an effective solution for kennels and veterinarian offices, where pets are coming and going frequently.

Have you ever wanted to show your dog that you really care? Does your dog sleeping in your bed just not work for you anymore? If so, then you need to check out our most popular product, the Durable Off-Ground Sleepers. They are perfect for dogs of any size, and I can honestly tell you that I sleep in mine every night.

I was so excited when I found out my new owner had gone out of his way to make my sleeping arrangment much more comfortable. (I was used to sleeping on the floor). These sturdy beds have molded plastic frames that flex with my weight! They are incredibly strong, and they can hold up to 250 lbs.

The best part about my bed is the fact that it provides for 360 degree air circulation. This prevents coat matting, and skin irritations. The cover on my bed does not hold fleas, moisture, odor, or disease. Basically, they are the best bed any dog could ever ask for. I sometimes even use mine to take naps in the afternoon. No more hardwood floors and fleas from the carpet. Get your dog one of these beds, and you’ll notice how much happier he is all the time. Dogs deserve the best. Show us that you really care, Bosco
