Bosco here again, wanted to share with you a little bit about some of my best friends (dogs of course). 

Some of buddies in my hood, can be found dig’n or sniff’n about. Two characters in particular are Sunny & Siris. They get to hang outside all day, chasin their tails and talkin to the birds, and they get to bask in the sun all day long if they want on these cool beds that their owners got for them from this place called Rover Company I heard their owner telling mine.

Sunny is a Bernese Mountain Dog; meaning she’s quite a big dog.  The Bernese Mountain, like every other dog, is descended from the wolf.  The breed was used as an all purpose farm dog, for guarding property and to drive dairy cattle long distances from the farm to the alpine pastures.  Sunny doesn’t have to drive dairy cattle, but she certainly gets a good workout chasing those pesky UPS drivers away from the driveway.  She certainly appreciates having a cool bed to crash in that her owner bought for her.

Siris is an English bulldog, which is a muscular heavy dog that is defined by it’s wrinkled face and the distinctive pushed-in nose.  In the US, the size of a typical mature male is about 45 pounds and that for mature females is about 45 pounds for a Standard English Bulldog.  Breeders have worked to breed aggression out of the breed, and as such the dog is known to be of generally good temperament. Bulldogs can be so attached to home and family that they will not venture out of the yard without a human companion.  As you can see, like Sunny, Siris definitely appreciates a nice relaxing afternoon at home curled up in a cozy bed.

Well that’s quite enough about those two for now, don’t want them to go Hollywood on me. Time for my quote of the day.

“Dogs” Laugh, but they laugh with their tails. What puts man in a higher state of evolution is that he had got his laugh on the right end.
